Thanks to the support of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the work of Tacugama’s team, camera traps have been installed to monitor wild chimpanzees, providing valuable insights into their behaviour, social organization, and distribution.

Elsa, after completing her MONATYC training at Fundació MONA, now has the opportunity to contribute to this crucial conservation initiative. Her role involves analyzing the footage to better understand these primates in their natural habitat.
