MONAEduca Virtual Moves Forward: Selected for the Second Phase of B-Value 2025

What is MONAEduca Virtual?

MONAEduca Virtual is an innovative educational initiative that takes the Fundació MONA experience beyond our physical facilities. Thanks to live HD cameras, advanced audiovisual technology, and a team of expert educators, we offer real-time online environmental education classes to schoolchildren worldwide.

The project was created with the aim of removing geographical, economic, or health-related barriers that prevent many children from accessing this kind of transformative experience.

A very positive assessment from the teaching staff of the schools that have participated so far, along with partnerships with hospitals such as Sant Joan de Déu, endorses its impact. And this is only just the beginning.

What is the B-Value Programme?

B-Value is a programme that drives the transformation of the social sector, aimed at non-profit organisations with social impact projects. It focuses on enhancing the sustainability, innovation, and scalability of their initiatives. In its 9th edition, more than 100 organisations applied, and only 40 were selected for the first phase. After several weeks of training, mentoring, and intensive work, only 10 projects have been selected to proceed to the second phase, among them MONAEduca Virtual.

During this new stage, we will participate in the Bootcamp Week, an in-person event taking place from September 15 to 19 in Barcelona. There, together with experts in innovation, strategy, funding, communication, and partnerships, we will work to strengthen the project’s value proposition and explore new avenues for sustainability.

Why is it important?

Being finalists in B-Value 2025 represents a recognition of the transformative potential of MONAEduca Virtual and a unique opportunity to equip it with the tools needed to scale its impact.

In the context of a climate emergency, we know that education is one of the most powerful tools to raise awareness and drive action. Thanks to this support, we will be able to reach further – to more schools, more classrooms, and more children who currently have no access to quality environmental education experiences.
