Volunteering Opportunities

6‑MONTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME

Volunteering at Fundació MONA is a truly enriching experience — every day brings new opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of our primates and to help keep our centre running smoothly.

As a volunteer, you’ll help care for the primates by cleaning their sleeping areas, building and maintaining enclosures, preparing and delivering stimulating enrichment activities, and creating and providing tailored diets. You’ll also take part in observing and recording their behaviour, helping us better understand their needs.

Depending on your skills and interests, you may also contribute to gardening, welcoming visitors, assisting with administrative work, and more.

At Fundació MONA, every helping hand matters. By volunteering with us, you’ll be creating a safe, stimulating home for rescued primates — and gaining a unique, unforgettable experience that will stay with you for life.

Volunteering Opportunities

EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS (ESC) – VOLUNTEERING GRANTS

MONA has been accredited since 2015 and can be your host organisation (volunteering with us) or support organisation (if you wish to volunteer abroad).

These grants offer you the opportunity to take part in solidarity projects, gain life‑changing experiences, learn new skills, practise languages, and enhance your CV.

Requirements

You must be between 18 and 30 years old and a citizen of the European Union (or associated countries)

How much is it?

Nothing. All expenses are covered: trip, accommodation, food, insurance and money for personal expenses.

Areas

Hundreds of possibilities and projects: Environment, Social Assistance, Social Inclusion, Culture… The hard part is choosing!

You have two options (12 months):

PROJECT “PRIMATE KEEPER”: primate care and welfare activities.
PROJECT “KNOW, UNDERSTAND, RESPECT AND PROTECT”: educational and ethological observation activities.
